Department for International Affairs
The Department for International Affairs represents the HTU in international committees and university alliances. It collaborates with the relevant departments of TU Wien, networks with international organizations and other universities that promote exchange and contacts abroad. The department also advises incoming students and students who are interested in mobility programs. In addition, it supports outgoing students at TU Wien. It does all of this in cooperation with other organizations that deal with international affairs in the higher education sector.

BEST – Board of European Students of Technology
BEST is an association consisting of about 20 students with many different nationalities. The focus is on personal development, gaining unique experiences and networking with international BEST groups. BEST organizes a two-week course in Vienna every year to gain insights into various technical topics. In short: A student organization that is committed to the development of young people, connects people from different countries and develops an international mindset.

ESN Buddynetwork
The ESN Buddynetwork TU Wien is part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), the largest student association in Europe. It is a non-profit organization that is entirely built and managed by students. Their goal is to give students in the Erasmus program an unforgettable time here in Vienna. In cooperation with the International Office of TU Wien, they try to contact each individual personally as soon as possible after their arrival. In the first few weeks, they help them find their way around the TU and Vienna, they promote the Erasmus community by bringing everyone together, and they enable intercultural exchange with local students through the buddy system. It’s all about enabling the best start to a great semester! Parties, culture, day and weekend trips to the nature of Austria as well as to the surrounding international cities, ski trips, casual community events such as film and game nights, dance courses for the big Viennese balls. Every exchange student and buddy can participate in all events and excursions.
