Each field of study is assigned to a student representation. This committee, consisting of five people, is elected in the ÖH elections and represents the legal representation of all students in this field of study.
In addition, most fields of study have a Fachschaft, where students volunteer and organize events for students. Fachschaften are officially not part of the HTU, but support the student representatives in their work.
