TU Wien Security Incident: Information on Password Reset

Information on Password Reset

Via ID Austria

f you have a valid ID Austria, you can reset your password at https://login.tuwien.ac.at/passwort/TUaccount. After logging in, you must reset your password within five minutes; otherwise, you will have to log out and log in again.

On Site

ou can have your password reset on site. For this, you need a valid photo ID (student ID is accepted).

February 2 – February 6

This week, additional reset stations are being set up at the following locations (marked in white on the map):

Opening Hours:

  • Monday, Feb 2: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Tuesday, Feb 3: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Wednesday, Feb 4: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Thursday, Feb 5: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Friday, Feb 6: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Regular Service

Outside of these special opening hours, the password can be changed at the CIT-Service Center (marked in blue on the map):

  • Monday to Friday (working days): 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Students Abroad

For all students who cannot appear on site and do not have an ID Austria, a remote password change is possible.
