Who are the HTU Admins?
We are the IT contact point for all HTU members (departments, student representatives, …). We also serve as the interface to TU.it.
- For general inquiries (network, server services, HTU account, etc.), simply send an email to “admin@htu.at“.
- For inquiries regarding software & licensing, please contact “software@htu.at“.
Inquiries from student representatives (Fachschaften) or departments will only be accepted from a student representative email, HTU email, or *tuwien.ac.at email address!
As we have limited resources, there may be a waiting period for more extensive inquiries. We strive to respond as quickly as possible.
You can also send TUNET inquiries (TU Wien network & infrastructure: registration of new computers, allocation of IP addresses, TUHost, …) directly to TU.it in the correct format and CC us.
Regular Maintenance and Service Downtimes
Every system requires maintenance to enable new features or stay up-to-date with technology. However, maintenance work can lead to restrictions in availability.
We strive to keep services online during regular working hours and therefore perform maintenance work that leads to limited availability of productive services at night from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM or on weekends. In the case of larger planned work, we also inform users in advance.

Responsibilities
- Provision of services for HTU & FSen (mailing lists, Limesurvey, homepage, HTU cloud, …)
- Technical support regarding problems with campus software (not 1st level support!), this is done in two steps:
- Approval and provision by WiRef
- We help with technical questions / problems
- ServerHousing for student representatives and departments
- TUNET inquiries for student representatives (Fachschaften) and departments
Emails to this address are read and processed by volunteer members of the IT team. If the inquiry contains sensitive information, it is also possible to contact one of our admins directly. Please send an inquiry to our mailing list requesting a callback.
